This profile spine is borrowed and altered from the future-based Harry Potter roleplay, Enchanted Curse.
Profile creation; definitely not required, but exremely helpful. Of course, you can make a profile however you want to, excluding or including anything you wish.
This is a guide created to help you create a profile. It may look like a lot, but if you take it one step at a time, it's a lot easier than you may think.
Why create a profile? First, it makes a starting place for the personality of your character, so that they don't fluctuate and so that others know what you are like. Second, creating a profile first gives you a lot that you can put into your character application. It is highly recommended that you make your profile before sending in your application, but a profile is NO SUBSTITUTION for an application, which is REQUIRED.
General;Name:
Age / Birthday:
Pets: The general category just tells us the extreme basics of your character, right off the bat. As you can see there are only four sections. Hey, it looks shorter. Taking things one step at a time, breaking them down, makes them seem less daunting.
Name: First, middle, and last name. Nothing too flashy, but interesting names can make for an interesting character. However, an unobtrusive name can be good as well.
Age / Birthday: How old are they, and when were they born? Keep in mind that your character's age corresponds to their schooling level.
Pets: What kind of pet does your character have? You don't have to have one, and keep in mind, anything too unrealistic will not be approved.
Power: Your ability which is the reason you're at Ethereal. An outline of acceptable powers and their relation to houses can be found further down.
Next Stop...
Appearance;Eyes: Color, shape, size. It is a pretty easy category to complete.
Hair: Color, length, style. Again, an easy one. Keep in mind you can go more in depth on this blank in the General Appearance opening.
General: Just a general description of your character. Are they tall? Or maybe really short. What type of build do they have? How do they carry themselves, do they slouch or stand proud? How dark is their skin. Are they really skinny? Or perhaps a bit over-weight. Don’t be afraid to make your character someone who isn’t “incredibly beautiful”. We aren’t all like that in real life, why should everyone on an RPG be?

Weaknesses:
Traits: Personality is the most important section on this sheet, if not tied even with history. This is where it all goes down, so to speak. This is where we learn how to interact with you, and what to expect.

Strengths: Things that are good about your characters personality. Are they a good listener? Do they stand up for what is right? Are they really friendly? Do they actually care about people? These are just a few strengths.
Weaknesses: Does your character act like a whiny know-it-all? If so that would be considered a weakness. Do they have narcissistic ways? Are they painfully shy? Do they never listen to reason? Again, more weaknesses.
Traits: This is just your characters general personality. How do they act by themselves... How do they act in groups? Classes? In front of important people? Try to be detailed; it is very important for other roleplayers to know what your character is like.

History: History is another important category. If only for knowledge. So here you go... explanation and such.
Place of Birth & Residence: What country was your character born from, and where did he live right before moving to Ethereal? They can be the same.
Nationality: In this world, the nationalities are Oriental, Indian, Causcasian, Nordic, Zaul [which is African], and Latin. All speak the same language, but there are regional and ethnic accents for some.
Parents / Siblings: Names, ages, and any other information you feel like giving us about them. They can be ungifted and remaining on the mainland, or gifted and also at Ethereal Village or Academy.
History: This section should actually be the longest one your profile. Even at eight your character has lived a life. They didn’t just sit there like a bump on a log and then rejoice they day they came to Ethereal. Describe their home-town. What was their relationship with their parents like... What types of friends did they have... what did they do with their friends. Basically you just have to ask ‘them’ a whole bunch of questions to figure out everything about their life.

Anything Else? Ethereal House: You can be in Transformal, Elemental, or Mystical House. If you are a graduate or a professor, this is the place to say so.
The houses are broken down as such:Transformals are any people who can change into an animal at will. Each can only change into a single animal, and no mythological creatures will be accepted.Elementals can control any one element. There are Sky elementals, who control the weather and winds; Earth elements, who control plants, soil, and rocks; Water elementals, who control the water both in the sea and sky; and Fire elementals, who can conjure fire from the air.Mysticals are any sort of people with unusual magical abilities. The list contains vampires, witches, wizards, fortune tellers, and so one. Additionally, werewolves are included in the Mysticals, for they do not change at will. Schooling Level: Level one from ten are possibilities. Keep the the level proportionate to your age; a eight year old will not be level seven, and a seventeen year old should be past level three.
Fighting Style: A non-magical way of combat. Any martial art or weapons. The list is infinite; pick one, for you will be training in whichever one you pick.
Anything Else? Whatever else you may choose to share that there isn't already a space for.
